Walking Marina

My buddy D. R. Hildebrand is a writer and a model based in New York City.
We met through a mutual friend...and have kept in touch ever since. He just recently released his first novel, Walking Marina, and I’m so excited to be able to share it with you all.

Walking Marina is one of the first books ever written by a model about the male modeling industry.
Check out the trailer and his website and pass it on to your friends!

Here's a short excerpt from the book that summarizes the protagonist's journey.

He was a steelworker-turned-model. And he was as idealized as he was envied. The world saw him pretty and they assumed him complete. They saw him golden and plentiful if not the apex of attainment, and they wanted whatever he had—all that he was. But what did they know? What did any of them know except the dreams they needed? Beauty begets attention. Beauty attracts love. Beauty is power and predictability and joy and the gloss behind which purity lies. Beauty is the answer, the end, the savior to which everything essential must fly. Beauty is boundless. Beauty is decisive. Beauty is one.

He was a model. And the world had its assumptions.
